LIVING AWAY FROM HOME

Is it a good option living away from home while you’re a university student?

People between eighteen and twenty years old, when they start university, the share a flat with other people away from home. Is this a good idea?

On the one hand, if you have depended your whole life on your parents, it’ll be very difficult not to do it. But I think that it’s a good option because you will mature a lot and very quickly.

On the other hand, you’ll probably miss your family and the first days you will be calling your parents and ask for help and it’s more expensive than living with your parents. But also, living with friends is very funny and you have more independence.

In conclusion, living away is better than living with you parents because you learn how to do things alone or without help although the first month it won’t be easy.

JUDGE OTHERS

Can we judge others by the way they look? Obviously not. I strongly believe that a  person’s appearance doesn’t say anything about herself.

First of all, I’ve to say that humans need to judge others because it’s inevitable, but we don’t have to be influenced by it. If you do that, you might be wrong because you don’t know this person.

Secondly, a lot of times I’ve judged a person and at the end, she has ended up being my best friend. Also, you don’t have to do what you wouldn’t have to be done.

In conclusion, people need to judge others but this cannot influence us. probably, this person is one of the best in the world but because of the prejudices you’ll never know it.

BLETCHLEY PARK

Dear Bletchley Park’s director,

Thank you very much for giving  me this opportunity to explain why I’m the worker that you have been looking for.

First of all, I’m able to speak a lot of languages. For example, French, Spanish, Catalan, German and English. I’ve been studying languages since I was three years old, and also I have travelled a lot of times around the world to practise them.

Secondly, I’m also very good at keeping secrets and I promise that I’ll always be discreet. I don’t mind obeying orders.

I hope you will consider my application favourably.

Yours faithfully,

Lorena Egea.

LOVE-LOCKS

Are love-locks romantic or a menace?

All the couples that travel around the world and they see love-locks on a bridge, they do the same but… is this a dangerous practice?

On the one hand, a lot of studies say that some bridges can’t hold all the locks that couples put there. In the long run, this can be a menace because the bridge is at risk of falling. As a consequence, a lot of cities have forbidden this practice.

On the other hand, this practice is very romantic but, after all, it’s a legend and it’s not real. If you put a love-lock, your love it’s not safe. A simple lock isn’t going to keep your relationship safe .

To sum up, even it’s very romantic, it’s also very dangerous and we should stop it.

Should student's textbooks be replaced by notebook computers? Yes, of course.
I strongly believe that replacing textbooks by notebook computers has a lot of advantatges that will improve society and people's economy.

First of all, millions and millions of tones of wood are being used to make the textbooks that our children use at school. For this reason, we have to look after the planet and not we them. Also, in the future, people will use new tecnologies  at their job, so they have to know how to work with computers and tablets.

Secondly, some people want to modernize and change the educations system, so this is a great chance to start doing it. Don't be afraid to pay two hundred euros for one notebook computer because, at last, you will save money.

In conclusion, replacing textbooks by notebook computers is a good idea that we have to start doing right now.
SCHINDLER'S LIST REVIEW

Schindler's list is a film directed by Steven Spielberg, one of the most famous directors in the world. The main character is Oskar Shindler, played by Liam Neeson, a bad German businessman who becomes a Nazi. This film was recorded at Auschwitz Concentration Camp.

The film is about Oskar Schindler and one friend of his, Itzhak Stern who is Jew. Oskar helps the German Nazi reign and kills some people, but he saves about 1100 Jew's lives.
